American Witch 11x14

She's mad, yes, positively insane 

Wandering the city streets and shouting...

Her manic voice projecting the corrupt 

algorithms obscuring the world's sins.

It hurts her, it haunts her, wears into her skin...

The anguish of prophets swallows her whole

The demands of mortality punish

So she enshrouds herself with life and lore

And adorns in stray symbols gained while learning...

She doesn't need saved, she just needs heard

She is Mamon, Mary and Magdalene...

She is Persephone and Lilith and

A thousand women crying in the night,

Fighting for eons their biggest fight

For freedom, for love, to be understood 

She appears to walk alone in the night

But she walks with purpose and a mission 

With whispers of nature by the river,

And folks joyful noise and cacaphony...

Best to let her babble with the brook...

If you sit near and patiently listen 

She will cast your shadow in bright colors

Remain blind or be brave, the choice is yours

But best be aware, you'll never meet another like her...
