The Gods Are Jealous, Original

Original 9x12 Prismacolor colored pencil drawing on black paper, inspired by The Vanished World of Gloves, an animated short by Czech animator Jiri Barta and a quote by George Orwell "The Gods are jealous, and when you have good fortune you should conceal it". In the drawing, a marionette puppet watches a television screen showing a menacing face behind color bars and pouring water from the mouth onto the floor. The quote is written on the frame of the TV and behind the television is a giant, reaching, white-gloved hand.
